“Enterprise Supplier Development has empowered us to build more sustainable businesses and to play an immense role in social and economic transformation”, says M2TD’s CFO, Tsholofelo Nyahuye.
Our Enterprise Supplier Development beneficiaries are; Olehile Investment Holdings, Dash Host, Thuthukani Information Technology Services and Brace Holdings. All our ESD beneficiaries operate in the Information Technology sector and they offer a variety of products/services. For this reason, M2TD has shifted from using a ‘one size fits all’ approach, instead we tailored all the companies needs and offerings in relevance, to ensure that we embrace each company’s core strength.
M2TD has and continues to assist their beneficiaries in finances and the development towards their business sustainability. We continue to add value to our ESD partners through mentorship and support to ensure that they achieve their goals through transferring of skills. One of our approaches include introducing our beneficiaries’ range of products and services to potential clients, giving them access to new markets, which is highly mutually beneficial for both M2TD and the ESD partners. This strategy ensures profitability and economic success for all.
M2TD is in its second year of compliance with Enterprise Supplier Development and we are proud to say we have successfully implemented a strategic and cost effective ESD programme. We do not only view the ESD programme as a compliance issue, rather as a tool to contribute to economic growth and in turn creating jobs and economic opportunities for black owned supplier companies and black entrepreneurs, which plays an enormous role in the transformation of South African business landscape.
